Greetings,
It is with heavy heart and deep sadness that I report Bogdan Mychajlyszyn, a founding member of Kvylia, The Wave Band, passed
away yesterday at the too young of age of 49.
Bohdan was always quick with a laugh and flashed a big smile. He was a great musician who played his accordion with deep
passion and sang songs the same way. He leaves behind his wife, Kasia and twin boys, Andrij and Danyelko
This was terribly sudden. I do hope Bohdan is now in the place we are all told about.
A place where there is no more pain, hurt or sorrow.
I would normally say rest in peace. But I do hope Bohdan finds that party and gets things started. If we listen hard enough
we can hear his laugh and the sound of sweet music from days not too long ago.

The Wave Band plays traditional and contemporary Ukrainian and
American music the way we it ought to be played; from the heart with energy and soul...and with real instruments!
It has been awhile since we recorded any new material but we may be planning on starting a new project soon.
It is a great feeling knowing that you are leaving behind a legacy of the music.
Hopefully, you already have our recording. If not it really is worth asking a friend for a copy. Of
course if we do a new project I would ask you to purchase as opposed to borrow:)
